As the featured artist for Napa's Riverfront Chalk Festival, I was commissioned to create an original artwork. I designed this piece to be a celebration of Napa's past, present and future...and most of all a celebration of the heart of our whole valley: the beautiful Napa River. From Napa's original residents, the Wappo people, through our valley's rich agricultural heritage and now its vibrant cultural life, the fertile lands surrounding the Napa River have always been a haven of life, growth, expression and community.
